District Youth Forum and Representatives

The District Youth Forum brought together Scouts and Explorers from across the District to give feedback and ideas to the Youth Team about what they’d like to see in Denewulf. Both groups planned camps on a budget, learning about the permit scheme, food costs and the challenges that face leaders putting together these events. After this, all the young people had the opportunity to discuss what they wanted from Scouting in the future, from Top Awards to a #PlacetoBelong. For their contributions, all members earned their YouShape Central Badge. A full photo gallery can be found here.

Following this, the Explorers elected three District Youth Representatives from among their number, and we’d like to congratulate the first-ever young people to fill this role in Denewulf: Kara, Marie and Ruby! All three will help to inform our decisions and ensure that the views of young people are central to our thought processes. You can find a short introduction to each of them on our Youth Team page.
