Scout Groups

Our Groups

Groups are responsible for running our four younger sections: Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and they are headed up by Group Lead Volunteers (GLVs). Though not all groups run every section, every one provides a rich Scouting experience for the young people. Each Scout Group has its own identity, history and culture represented by the various necker colours, making them very individual.

There are 12 Groups in Denewulf Scout District:

Some of our groups have ties to local places of worship, which often involve sharing facilities and more opportunities to learn about faith. In the District, two of our Groups are Sea Scouts and both of these – 2nd Fareham and 3rd Portchester – are RN Affiliated; this gives young people the opportunity to be involved in more water activities.
