Summer Update 2026
Firstly, a massive thank you to all the volunteers who have worked hard, planning sessions, maintaining buildings, supporting other volunteers, caring for kit and providing opportunities for young people. We are hugely grateful to all the volunteers giving their time – in all manner of roles – so Scouting in Denewulf can be successful and provide a place to belong in the community!
If you feel something is missing or you want something different from the District Leadership Team, don’t hesitate to contact us. Below is an update on vacancies within the team (expressions of interest are very welcome) and events coming up in the Autumn Term.
Vacancies
As previously announced, there are a number of programme vacancies which you can view on the Vacancies page.
- District Beaver Programme Lead
- District Cub Programme Lead
- District Scout Programme Lead
In addition, the District Trustee Board also requires a new Chair of Trustees, so volunteers for that role would be gratefully received. Full role descriptions and expression of interest forms can be found here! To best support those starting these roles, applications before September would be best. If you have someone in mind, contact the DLVs, and the team will be in touch.

- 13th September: Squirrels Birthday Funday
- 19th-20th September: Cubs Camping Competition
- 26th September: District Strategy Day
- 24th October: Explorer Shooting Competition
- 7th-8th November: Remembrance Day Parades
- 22nd November: First Response Learning
