Kudu Night Hike 2025
County Kudu is an overnight hike that takes place each year for Explorers and Network. On the weekend of the 15th-16th November, four teams from Denewulf took part in the event across three levels of challenge – Bronze (6 miles), Silver (9 miles) and Gold (11 miles). The teams of between four and eight young people took on both the challenges of hiking and navigation in the dark, as well as tasks at a number of bases along the route. This year it took place around Farnham; a gallery for the event is here.
Merlin, Sea Dragon and Watkins ESUs all entered teams into the Gold category and all those teams placed within the top 10 of 28 taking part. Particular congratulations to the team from Merlin ESU, who took home 1st place and the County Kudu Trophy!
Thank you to all the leaders from Denewulf and organisers across Hampshire for giving up their time (and a night’s sleep) to put together such an incredible event.
